Revealing the Operating Gap: Has AI Outgrown Governance?

Wednesday, October 14, 2026 | 11:00 AM EST | 4:00 PM GMT

AI adoption is moving into business functions faster than many organizations can connect visibility and control. Our latest research from The OneTrust 2026 AI-Ready Governance Survey Report reveals where governance is advancing, and where operating gaps are creating risk.

Organizations are encouraging AI agent use at nearly twice the rate at which they have clear governance, oversight, and controls in place: 87% versus 47%. Only 5% report clear coordination and accountability across the AI lifecycle.

In this webinar, Blake and Ojas will unpack the findings from the 2026 AI-Ready Governance Survey and explore what they mean for organizations scaling AI across teams, systems, vendors, and agents.

The research, conducted by OneTrust and Sapio Research, surveyed 1,200 senior business decision-makers across eight markets.

What We’ll Discuss

  • Where AI adoption is exposing new risks — including agentic workflows, shadow AI, and third-party AI.
  • Why fragmented ownership, late reviews, manual processes, and disconnected evidence create operating friction.
  • How governance can move from individual activities to connected operations.
  • What organizations need to improve visibility, accountability, and monitoring.
  • How leaders can ensure governance is integrated throughout the AI lifecycle
